Snowbirds from the wilds of Canada and the colder climes of the United States flock to the Texas coast to escape cold winters. In summer Texans head to that same coast to cool off. Wildlife enthusiasts come to explore the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge and the Padre Island National Seashore. Cabin camping is available along certain areas of this gently curved coastline that stretches from the Mexican border to Louisiana.
